I own a Champion that I bought used at least 15+ years ago. Those things are indestructible. I had to replace some part a coupla years ago and they asked for the serial # so they could get me the part. Well come to find out that my juicer was built around 1959!!. I went ahead and replaced the whole front assembly for $60 so I'm ready for another 45 years of service :=) Actually I really would like to get the Green Machine because of it's slower grinding which doesn't introduce oxygen and start the oxidation process. They also claim that it has some other magnetic voodoo in the grinder that helps preserve the juice so you can premake your juices and they save refrigerated for a coupla days. With the Champion you pretty much hafta drink juices right away. It would be nice to be able to make a batch of juice to last the whole day in one sitting.

When I'm towing the line I use a powder by Nature's Plus called Source of Life that is made from foods and and also contains all the green super-foods. The nutritional content of this stuff is pretty amazing providing you with mega doses of most essential vits and other essential goodies. I make a shake with apple juice and add 2 tbsp of Flax Oil for my EFAs and that's usually how I start my day. I tell ya if for whatever reason I don't get a meal that day this stuff will carry me the rest of the day. I have also used a super greens food powder called Greens plus. BTW healthy fats or EFAs is one of the most often overlooked things in any diet and especially any vegetarian diet so in either case I highly recomend that you look into adding Flax Oil or another blend like Udo's choice to your daily routine. As far as the wheat grass I tell ya I was spoiled by having a juice bar half a block from my house and after you do that stuff fresh squeezed everyday you can't even think of doing it any other way. The rush you get from the fresh stuff is almost instantaneous. Part of my backsliding has been that I moved and I miss my daily 2 oz dose. Part of the reason I would like to get the Green Machine is that unlike the Champion it also does Wheat grass. I would have already gotten the GM but the darn thing is around $400.
