I did drink coffee with milk before on the cleanse, but I was addicted to caffeine and didn't want to suffer the intense withdrawal along with the detox symptons. every day i would drink less coffee. one cup. half a cup. 1/4 cup until I didnt have to drink it at all. now I don't have to drink coffee ever and feel better for it.
If you don't break the fast properly and slowly there is a good chance you will resort to binge type eating to make up for food not eaten and then you put the weight back on very quickly. I know this from experience. but if you gently and lovingly break the fast in the manner described in the book, then the tendency is to eat wiser, better smaller.
