Re: iodine bad for kidneys?

I think iodine/iodide may actually be good for the kidneys.

When I first started taking iodide, I passed a very old kidney stone. Perhaps it dislodged and/or shrunk it enough for it to pass?

The doctor said the stone had to have been in there for a long time because I passed dark black blood in the days before passing the actual stone which is an indicator that the stone is very old.
