PZ, sorry for the 'barb tinged' humor. I just saw the new Ted Rall cartoon and it kind of fired me up and then I noticed your reply which gave me a temporary bout of Mental Agita.

I think you are overthinking the basic situation and are also in error on your proposition re heavy metals,(tho you will find that mentioned in the strictly assuming extrapolative literature, Dr Jacops states that there is no research evidence of metal deposits from the DMSO/Sulfur group being deposited in brain tissue). (Do let me know if and why you might still think I am in error here).
 
Spreading toxins, whoa, sounds dangerous. Lets see, toxins already present, hm? If already present they already are a problem, unless stored in the liver, where they only slowly leak out and denigrate the systems functioning (wouldn't want to give that faucet handle a twist now would we. or would we?)

If already present, let them be diluted and spread so as to be exposed for their removal by natural processes.
DMSO will actually chelate and clean more than pollute, and after binding as a sulfite compound, will then be expunged by our system within 12 hours.

Ohhhh, so if you have a commercial ointment on your skin, and THEN YOU USE DMSO on top of that, FDA approved (so it must be very safe), commercial ointment-------------? (Pretty dorky move wouldn't you say?) Your talking to the crowd logic of why to be fearful of an alternative treatment. (How more often are we injured by the dull knife rather than a sharpened one?) 

(and the angst driven rebuttle is how electing another right winger is somehow worse than the emotionaly infantile candidate).
