Are you sure you have EC tho? Constantly peeling lips doesn't necessarily = EC. From the sounds of it, you have a skin picking issue. When you constantly pick your lips like I do, "helping" the dry skin off for a better appearance, your lips think they are being attacked. In response to this attack, the skin grows back thicker in that area. That thicker skin dries out easily and begins to peel and when you pick at it, you continue the cycle. After years of picking, even if you decide to let them run their course without picking, the new skin revealed underneath won't magically be nice plump and normal. Your lips will eventually regenerate to a normal healthy type skin, but this should take months of absolutely no picking. I had a lip biopsy done and it said I have hyperkeratosis and parakeratosis which means my lip skin is thicker than normal and grow back faster than normal. There is no inflammation or irritation which MUST be present for it to be EC. I'm going to start my battle of avoiding picking my lips today. It will be tough as they will look disgusting for days on end, but in hoping will eventually come back if I just leave them alone. Best of luck, hopefully this helps.
