I had a similar problem. Infection around a horizontally impacted wisdom tooth. Got the tooth removed. Infection remained. I had permanent sore throats (worse on left side) and also lymph node problems in my under arms. Actually it got so bad at one point the skin under my arms would peak off on a semi regular basis. I was beyond destroyed physically at that point.

Anyway, Iodine and other stuff may 'help' but ultimately you want that infection removed surgically.
