Re: Dyshidrotic Eczema
Hello FootDoctor, Im 54 yo and have been dealing with dyshidrotic eczema since July of 2012. It started with a couple of whitish pus bumps on the palm of my hand that itched. My Mom passed 2 mts prior to the appearance of these bumps. I figured it was stress and would go away. By February 2013 it was so bad on my hands and feet that I had difficulty performing ADL's (acts of daily living such as combing hair, brushing teeth, lifting cups, etc.) because my hand were so sore, dry and painful. In addition to secondary infections on my feet bcuz of the open lesions this condition causes making it extremely difficult to walk. I will say that it felt like I was walking on a bed of broken glass. Of course all DE sufferers know that there is no topical that seems to stop this condition. So with my connections I went through 40 dives of hyperbaric therapy. And it cleared my DE completely up along with alot of other great health benefits. It lasted about 10-12 mts then slowly it came back and started spreading around my fingers and up my foot and ankles. This summer 2016 has been the worst. Not being able to sleep due to the itching and burning..UGHHHH!!! I am desperate to stop this. The only break I get from this is 10 days after I get my Simponi Aria infusion for RA. I decided to start researching this condition again and came across your post. Since you are researching id reaction, I would like to consult with you along with my Dr. regarding monitoring my progress while I take the Nystatin. I started on 091016 I must admit I only took 1ml the first day, I have a very sensitive system and the only side effect is gastrointestinal upset. I experienced some diarrhea the first day. But have had no tummy issues taking the full dose since. I took pics and plan to take pics every 3 days to follow progress of skin eruptions.
These pics were taken 5 days into an eruption. I will update pics on day 3. Wish me luck all!
