Re: Copper Detox -- how long for results?

Many of these problems start with immune activation due to the presence of pathogens. Many pathogens are GI related so if you have been experiencing GI issues then this is the first place I would look.

Candida is just one of many organisms that can infiltrate the gut, rogue bacteria, worm parasites and protozoa parasites are the others. Viruses can also inhabit the gut as well.

Typically viral infections tend to downregulate the immune response which just makes you crazy tired all the time.

parasites tend to create havoc in immunity and upregulate the immune system where you become 'wired and tired'. This is due to the adrenals firing off hormones to push the immune system. Parasites evoke a different arm of the immune system (Th2) while viruses activate the Th1 response.

The copper toxicity can be a hot issue - I would invest in a hair analysis to confirm the opinion that copper is high. Copper is a critical element and is involved in a number of vital immune responses. Copper build up might occur if the metabolic rate is low (slow metabolizer or chronic viral conditions). My suspicion is that the coffee enemas are releasing built up toxins out of the liver. Liver congestion is always a problem with chronic infections.
