DAY ONE (12 hours in) - Started my Dry Fast at ~1 am on Tuesday and it's now ~1 pm Wednesday. I am feeling good. I have dabbled a bit with water fasting and intermittent dry/water fasting before with very limited results - as I was never able to really commit to it for more than two days. My goals:
1. Complete a Soft Dry Fast for at least 5 days (but ideally 10 days) successfully. This means I will still brush my teeth, shower and practice normal hygiene during the Fast.
2. Lose 20 pounds of excess weight. My starting weight is 158 pounds (height: 5'5").
3. Break free of food (especially junk food) addiction and binge eating.
4. Become more aware of my body and learn how to identify true hunger and satiety.
5. Reap other health benefits for my body/skin.
6. Eat healthy after the fast to maintain new weight.
7. Overcome the mental test that fasting presents. Overcome any and all healing crises that may arise. Exercise/improve self control and will power.
Status Check --
Elimination experienced:
Urination: Multiple times, small trickles of medium yellow fluid each time; Bowels: Two times.
Mental State: Clear, happy.
