And you post an excellent reply, if I may say so. In fact, it's either a pretty good summary of advice already given to this lady, or else confirms my own thoughts as to a possible explanation for her adverse reaction to the iodine. Detox symptoms was exactly what I had in mind.

Agreed, simultaneous chemo & Iodine are never gonna make sweet music together. She needs to ditch the chemo pronto, but I'm not her professional health provider. It's not my call to give her such advice, aside from the fact that it might also be illegal. That's a decision she must make for herself, and it will require a leap of faith on her part.

She has been let down by other alternative protocols, and regrets the time wasted on some of them. To expect her now to put all her eggs in this basket might be a step too far for her, and I can't really blame her for being ultra cautious about going against her onc's advice.

I've given her the link for this thread, so at least she'll be aware of the hard choice confronting her. As for the harm that chemo does, you're preaching to the choir mate.
