Re: Old practice of adding iodine to baby oil for tanning?

I also am in my 60s and used baby oil with Iodine in my teens while tanning.
I still use iodine, but now I use it with natural oils that have an inherent sunscreen. Wheat germ oil, has a 40 spf, kokui nut oil, coconut oil, etc. it's easy to research on the Internet to find more.
I also use Lugols iodine, which I get on Amazon. Most people are somewhat Iodine deficient, so the Iodine doesn't hurt you.
I tan in the morning from 8:00 until 9:00 when the sun is gentle.
