I know God did not cease to be a merciful God with the judgement of Sodom and Gomorrah. I know He a God of mercy but also a God of justice.

I pray for the lost constantly. And I have hope for the lost.

Romans 9:15
For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”

And I have all the hope in the world that God will be sovereign and accomplish His Will in this fallen nation, as well as the whole fallen world.

Job 42:2
I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.

Again, as I've been saying over and over, if God decides to redeem America, I'm all for it, that would be wonderful. But I'm bracing for the worst. It may be a time of God's judgement on a wicked nation. Yes, we will see. But knowing things may go down is not being hopeless once again. It's facing a possible reality! My hope cannot be shaken by anything that happens with America, because my hope is not in God redeeming America, but in Christ alone, whatever happens. So for you to say I seem to have a hopeless mentality when I say that, shows me my hope in Christ alone doesn't seem enough for you.
