Re: Edit: Heresy

It's fine to be practical...but why think so small? How much glory and honor we give Him when we believe the best of what He is able to do? Our relationship with God was not designed that we sit and wait for Him to tie our shoes for us. We work together to live this life. He guides and inspires us to live greater lives even in our weaknesses.

I realize that because our nation has been sinful and distant from wanting to be close to God, that it doesn't seem like we should receive any blessings...and to be honest, because we all here read end time messages in the bible, we know that things are going to get tough...but that does not mean we think in doom and gloom terms.

I will always pray for God's help for our nation, whether it deserves it or not. He hears our prayers. We can't give up believing that we are cared for. And when things don't seem perfect in our eyes, we must understand God knows best and His will is still in the works. I think people can't take the ups and downs of what they see. They are disappointed when things don't seem the way they think God would do it.

Doesn't it make sense that God would allow someone like Obama to reign just so we would wake up and realize that we have not done our part? People started really praying and asking for forgiveness because God allowed this to happen for our own good. He knows us. He knows we are lazy and don't want to do the things we should be doing. He has to motivate us one way or another.

God may have chosen Trump because He found no other christian up to the task. How sad, that we can't find a decent, on-fire for the Lord christian who is willing to get his hands dirty for this country. That is what has happened to christians all over. Too comfy and cozy in their lives to risk it all to do the right thing. I think of King David being a man after God's own heart and he committed adultery and murder. But he asked for God's forgiveness and I hope Trump has too. David was a mighty, strong man of God. It's an abomination to be a coward.

Our faith is not in any man or political movement, it is in God, using us on this earth to fight the powers that be with prayer and our physical bodies that have to deal with the effects of humans being used by the powers of darkness that work behind the scenes in a spiritual form that play with the people to create hatred, pain and war. We have work to do. No time for idleness. Prayer and action go hand in hand. We can not be the guy on the deserted island, wanting rescue from God, but turned down all the boats and planes that stopped to help, just because we didn't see the hand of God within those things.
