I would say it is more likely a consequence of hypochlorhydria and it's affect on iron absorption. BTW the bacteria which causes Fibro/CFS is also Urease positive!

The Biofilm also likes to use Iron too which further deprives the body of the much needed iron which results in a chronic deficiency due to hypochlorhydria and it's effect on iron absorption and the biofilm also using available iron to reinforce it's biofilm.
