I think the most telling thing I ever saw was the line up of trucks delivering Barley to the old Guinness malting plant at harvest time. It was a very slow moving line of trucks that had to unload their Barley and wait for a germination test that made sure the enzymes where intact.

Each year the amount of rejected truck loads increased dramatically since GMO Barley won't contain the key enzymes needed. Properly non powered malt extract WAS the last bastion of brain cleansing enzymes available..
