Re: af - tcm

Chris Shade, PhD Chemistry, a mercury--Hg-- detox specialist, used it with mixed success for his Hg problem. That virtually always involves adrenal related and other types of fatigue.

His story is actually entertaining as well as informative.

Maybe that's because I've used DMSA for years for my mostly lead and cadmium problem with good success. However, it also makes me more brain fogged and lethargic while on round :) There are supplements and dietary changes I take to compensate somewhat for those effects.

Also I chose the more conservative, low-frequent-dose Cutler detox protocol over Shade's products. I did not have much of a gut problem and I did not seem to have bile flow issues like Shade describes rather nicely in his talk.

That leads us to the liver issues Shade discusses. This also can lead to periods of the day where one is amped up. It can be due to consuming phenols and other normal chemicals that the liver is not handling normally. Learn about sulfation in liver Phase II and possibly sped up Phase I due to Hg.

Lots of people in the detox groups have anxiety problems. A close female friend is/was one. She is much improved today after decades of PTSD.

While I like that Shade story as a nice overview, I like Andy Cutler's more detailed explanation in his book Amalgam Illness. The section on liver phases is worth checking out.

Also while Shade's detox protocol will likely reduce levels of Hg below the neck, getting inorganic Hg across the blood brain barrier and out of the brain is difficult and tricky. I like Cutler's protocol utilizing ALA to more safely and gradually clear the brain.

There is much for you to learn and there will probably be more chemistry in that than you'll like, however, others have been where you are and have gotten major improvements. Don't give up.

Don't be surprised if the mainstream Obamacare doctors just look at you cross-eyed and give you psych meds. While they can be helpful while you work on underlying causes, I hope you put in the time to learn about what is actually happening in your body.
