I'm re-writing my response, because I couldn't write in great detail on my iPhone. This post you wrote is amazing, and hands down probably the only true success story in terms of overcoming DPDR I have come across in my experience. Currently, I am going through all of this, while I stumbled upon your story. For me, I am working under the care of a clinical nutritionist who is treating my Lyme Disease and Babesiosis, which went undiagnosed for twenty years. I have a history of anxiety, riding the med-go-round, and three years of relentless DPDR - to say the least, it has been terrifying! However, finding your story, and the fact that you healed after going through this process I am currently working through under the guidance of my doctor gives me a new sense of hope! I really think you are spot on about everything, and it is absolutely a lifestyle overhaul, which takes commitment and dedication. I can see how all of this would be overwhelming at first glance, but when you start working with a clinician who has experience with these healing processes, everything you have mentioned is not as overwhelming. I have seen subtle improvements in my DPDR, as I let my body heal. Also, for anyone who feels intimidated by some of these alternative healing practices, I'm definitely an advocate for doing what's comfortable or makes sense to you. I found the enemas beyond my capability, since I am a very nervous anxious person who has difficulty following directions, so my doctor recommended I do the vitamin c flush, which is working fine. I would not, however, attempt any of these procedures unless you are working under the immediate care of a trained clinician or professional. It seems like a lot of people read these instructions off the web, and get themselves in to more trouble, which is not worthwhile! It is very hard to find the clinicians, but they are out there, it took me twenty years to find the right person, but when you do, it's a game changer. Just wanted to share a little of my own thoughts on all of this.
And to the author of this post, please let me know if there's any way for me to get in touch with you. You are the first person I have come across who truly found answers, I would love to find a way to chat on the telephone or become pen pals to keep in touch. I think the basis for a lot of these accumulated health problems can often be caused by tick-borne illness - Always something to look into.
