Things to consider:

* Are you thoroughly chewing your food? It should be liquefied before you swallow.

* Are you drinking sugary liquids like pop, etc. Stop & drink water, unsweet coffee or tea

* Are you eating too many carbs? Go on a strict Paleo Diet.

How much do you weigh? Are you overweight? If so cut your portion size in half to lose weight.
