Re: Possible cure?

Hello. I too got diagnosed with SIBO, but the medication only temporary helped hide the bad breath but came back as soon as I got off meds. I've been suffering with bad breath for over 3 years now. I have seen ever specialist out there from an ENT, allergist and gastro. My insurance has Kaiser as a provider Which I am really upset they just bounced me from one doctor to another. Long story short all Kaiser doctors told me I was fine and looked at me like I was crazy. Despite then covering up their noses every time I talk. They ignored all my stomach pain and symptoms and just said I had IBS, but I knew it wasn't normal to have bloating, headaches, bad breath, fatigue, stomach cramping and just overall digestive issues. I knew there was something going on with me, so I decided to go to a functional doctor and pay out of pocket. It was not cheap but it was the best thing I could have done for myself. After speaking to this functional doctor who took all my symptoms seriously, she was able to test me and get real results. Let me remind you that all my blood work and endonoscopies came back normal. I was tested with this functional doctor and came back positive for SIBO, Candida and Hpylori. I was so thankful to finally have a real diagnosis that made sense to all these symptoms I was feeling. So now I'm trying to heal my gut. My breath has only improved a little but in hopeful that it will be back to normal as soon as I heal my gut. I was able to get rid of the Hpylori and now I'm working on getting rid of the Sibo and Candida. I really feel that all of this bacteria overgrowth is what is causing my bad breath as I've been sticking to a low fodmap diet that is improving my breath. I also feel that probiotics is what helps the most. I'll keep you posted as I go through this treatment. However I suggest you get tested for bacteria overgrowth as I'm positive that's what causes bad breath.
