Just some OLD school wisdom.
Never eat fast carbs with protein and fat.
Such as apple and peanut butter. The body can only efficiently handle either Sugar or fat...not both at the same time.
Slow carbs like salad greens or broccoli with meat/fat or some vegetable other than carrots, peas, or beets. Give two hours before eating fast carbs like bread or potatoes
I know our world is always eating steak and potatoes or some other combination of fat and slow carbs. I do it because there isn't always a proper choice. It is not healthy. But it is also very hard to do it right.
But the previous poster is correct about the liver flush. The whole system is much more efficient when the liver is clean. I'm no expert. I'm just talking from experience.
