Marijuana is less addictive than caffeine. Trust me it's not very addictive.
You don't forget the problems for a "moment", an edible high can last from 8 hours to 12 hours, so that's a long time that you'll be happy.
Your short term memory is weaker, yes but it doesn't affect long term memory.
A sativa strain doesn't make you lazy, it has the opposite effect actually. In fact, sativa is recommended for those suffering from Depression because it lifts your mood and makes you energetic.
Of course one can get bad highs from weed but only because you've consumed too much at a time.

Weed can enhance your life if you let it.
