You can cut the last segment of a finger off, provided you leave the knuckle and do not close up the skin over the wound and you can regrow it. This does not guarantee that you will but it is possible.

However, if the knuckle is is removed or if the skin is pulled over the wound, the finger will not regrow.

A very important part of the regrowth process is the electrical potential that is generated. Positive thoughts can generate an electrical potential and send it through the nerves to the damaged part and can have an influence on the regrowth.

Watch the superbowl, I predict that there will be a kid in a Darth Vader suit who will use the Force to start a car :^)
