Re: Diet Audit - EAT TO LIVE

Dates combined with raw cocoa powder, raw carob powder, organic coconut oil, blend it and eat it by itself or with strawberries.

OK, this is a good idea.

Just a reminder chocolate does have caffeine so be mindful.

Others :

1) I think I can take the carrot/celery pulp from a morning juice and eat that for dinner along with all the spices like turmeric+bp, garlic, oregano, parsley, etc. That will remove the whole wheat pasta, plus ensure the pulp is consumed at a later time (the pulp has other nutrients, but there is too much of it). This effectively becomes a version of Hippocrates soup (a component of the Gerson therapy), and uses the same pulp produced from the morning.

I make raw dehydrated bread with my juice pulp. It is very tasty and you can even eat it with salad on it make a sandwich. YouTube has so many videos on that.

2) Are 2 lapses a month really that bad? I get the impression that 1 bad meal nullifies even 10 or 20 good meals.. If so, this is an unwinnable situation..

I don’t think 2 lapses in eating bad meals nullify 10-20 good meals. It depends on how bad the meals were. But if you are dealing with cancer why give the cancer one single chance to grow?

3) In the 'best flax oil' link, the topmost rated one does not say it is 100%. It is organic, but may not be 100%. How do we interpret the data?

Yes, I did not go deeper in that, but I checked all of the labels and all three are a blend (mix of different oils). I have a feeling that all manufacturers are doing this to profit and increase the shelf life. I know small towns in China, Italy and India may be still making oils the old fashioned way. If you have any sources in these countries it may be worth a try. Also you have to worry about it getting rancid.

4) OK, apples and potatoes should definitely be organic. I am not convinced that carrots and bananas make a difference....

We are not talking about all your life; till you heal from cancer it is best you consume clean foods.

5) Peas + red lentils are still a 'bad combo'? I thought they are within the same family...

Well, I do not know about red lentil, but I learned this from my parents and grandparents, they never mixed two different beans, legumes and so on. May be it is just in my family. So not to worry.

This is hard : 99% of the general public would already consider my diet above to be in the 'crazy' realm of an extreme health nut. But I feel I still have a long way to go....

Well nothing is hard when it comes to health. Who cares about opinions of general public? If you think about someone eating a burger with bacon, cheese, and fries and sodas, you would think that is crazy. Also you are not eating this way for life. Again go to YouTube to get some ideas about what to eat and how easy it is…here are a few links……
There is a very famous line from Ayurveda (5000 year old health science)…..EAT TO LIVE NOT LIVE TO EAT.
