I am sorry, but no one can force you to have a surgery. Weak minds get corrupted by the stories from the butchers. Sorry to be so strong worded here. But if you do not whole heartedly believe that good nutrition and fasting will take care of your condition then you may wind up on the butcher's table. And then that will be your choice. That is what the paper they ask you to sign will say that you select to have this surgery and bare the consequences from it.
