Hi, I am new to this and have never posted before. Hope this works. I was diagnosed by a Homeopath with chronic candida in June this year, (GP said it was IBS!) after 3 months of bloating/constipation and chest infection, amongst many other symptoms. (also after losing 1 stone in weight which I can not put back on). After following a strict candida diet I am now testing clear of candida for 5 weeks. Since August I have been seeing strange items in my stool which I assumed were candida related. My homeopath then tested me for worms and it was positive. I have since taken 4 x 500 mg Mebendazole and the constipation and bloating have cleared. I still am very uncomfortable in my stomach after eating and have pain in my upper abdomen, and am constantly tired. After returning to the homeopath I have now tested positive for tapeworm. I have had a stool test done by the GP who said it was normal, but also said they are not reliable and he is going to refer me to a gastro specialist. In the meantime, I emailed the doctor photos of my stool (he has admitted he doesn't know anything about this kind of thing) and I wonder if anyone here can help identify what is in these pictures (I've uploaded by now can not find!?)I would really appreciate any in put? Thanks so much.
