Natway, I agree with some of what you say. Absolutely the primary cause of adrenal fatigue IS insufficient calories. There shouldn't even be a debate about that. If you starve yourself, even to lose weight, you are starving every organ and gland in your body, including your adrenals. Which is exactly what almost everyone who is into 'health' is doing.
Your advice on high carbs, lots of sleep, minimal exercise, and throwing away the scale is spot on!
However, you are wrong about drinking lots of water. The amount you need is how much your thirst dictates, and clear urine is not a good sign. In fact, too much water and not enough salt is a major stressor which will contribute to adrenal fatigue. As will insufficient sleep, too much exercise, and insufficient carbs.
