Looking for advice on my condition

Hello, I am new to this forum and am writing for some feedback on my consition. I suspect I am suffereing from some sort of fungal overgrowth. Not neccesarily candida, but I assume treatment would be similar for other yeasts/fungus.

I have always had very dry skin on my face and scalp (for at least the last 15 years -- I am 34). I have tried every sort of diet, cream, shampoo, etc and the only thing that ever got me results was a prescription of Diflucan (fluconazole). My symptoms disappeared and I went to celebrate. Ate a lot of food I probably shouldn't and drank a lot of beer. A week or so later I was back to where I started. I got my doctor to prescribe Diflucan again but this time it had no effect.

I have also done a full GI Effects panel from Genova Labs that indicated I have a +2 overgrowth of an unknown fungal species in my gut. This made complete sense to me and is what started me looking Candida treatments. After a year or so of trying different things and seeing no improvment I basically gave up. Fast forward a couple of years. Last week I was working with some old mulch in the garden that had a lot of visible mold/fungus on it. I probably touched it or inhaled some of the dust. The next day my hands started blistering and then peeling. It has spread from my finger tips down to my wrist and also on my toes and bottoms of my feet. After much searching I believe this is Exfoliative Keratolyosis. There is no known cure.

These two data points involving fungus lead me to believe I am suffering from gut dysbiosis and an intestinal fungal overgrowth but of course I can't say for sure. My plan is as follows (and am looking for feedback before I jump into it, because it isn't going to be easy):

4 week course of Terbinafine (currently prescribed)

Replace 2 amalgam fillings & heavy metal detox (not sure how/which yet)

Low FODMAP/low carb/paleo diet currently and until I run the course of the Terbinafine Rx

NOW foods Candida support supp. daily (caprilic acid, pau d'arco, black walnut, oregano oil)

Then -- after am done with the Rx, begin the GAPS Intro diet

Continue with GAPS, herbal anti-fungals, & a strong priobiotic

I see so many mixed opionions on GAPS but it is the one thing I haven't tried. No other diet changes seem to work for me. It seems that GAPS has the potential to be very effective at healing gut dysbiosis but would love to hear other opinions. I did take the permeability test and while not terrible I did show some permeability present. Thanks!
