Re: Tell GP about hyperinfection?
Have you considered printing out the ICU protocol from this forum and taking it to show him.
Ask him if he will support you through it.
Give him a copy and promise him that you will keep precise records daily of your dosing and your symptoms and make regular appointments with him.
Get a journal and keep the records as though you were a nurse.
Write it out in practical terms as a nurse would. So you can show it to him or also take it to the Infectious Diseases doctor.
They repond to information presented in a way that they can look at it clinically rather than emotionally.
Information presented emotionally makes most docs feel uncomfortable. Its a pain in the butt, but whatever it takes to get them to listen properly is worth the effort.
If you can also find some other examples of PDF's online to take to your doctor that might help him realise that this has happened to others and been medically documented. Do some searches for the words Disseminated
parasite infections and choose ones that have been posted by MD's in PDF format.
