Re: Why is it so important to break a fast the right way?

I thought breaking a juice fast correctly is important. I read because you can undo all the good things that fast has done. I thought the reason for this was you want to rebuild the body and cell with all good healthy stuff and you want to gently nudge the organs that they all have to go back to work . It was suggested that you should start eating slowly not to send the liver and the rest of the body into shock. I read you should always break a fast with a grated apple, it has pectin in it which is vital for greatest absorption of any left toxin in the colon it simply carries it out of the body.

For lunch a green salad, some broth maybe a prune or two.
Broth for dinner.
Next day same thing add one more item like another salad. It should take a few days for you to break the fast. At least you can have salad! Also the metabolism has adjusted to slow until it gets going again. So eating raw for a week or two keeps the weight off , helps the metabolism get going and helps people from keeping the weight off
