Re: Stress has Triggered SEVERE Anxiety/Panic Attacks. PLEASE HELP, PLEASE!

Hello Shaynickkie,
You have just clearly indicated that changes in your breathing can exasperate your panic - fast heart rate - attacks!

This should declare clearly to you that you are "not breathing properly". Your natural breathing rhythm has become "lazy" over time and it is too shallow! Therefore, when you breath in more air when you are relaxed, your body is trying to grasp as much oxygen as possible - hence the sudden fast heart rate. (This is exactly the same experience seals have when the coming to the surface for air after 15 minutes to half and hour submerged under water).

Also, you are more than likely breathing from your stomach, even if it is unconsciously. You have to retrain your breathing so that you are no longer "lazy breathing".

When you breath from your stomach your oversensitive body notices the slight changes in blood pressure and triggers your heart rate to run off again. Keep your stomach hanging out!

To train do as follows:
a.) Breath only from the top of your chest/lungs only.
b.) You must expand your lungs to their fullest extent at all times.
c.) Consciously practice this at every conscious moment until it becomes natural and normal for you.
d.) This breathing practice is even more important to be maintained at night during sleep.

(Note: Always watch your stomach as any tension there - even the slightest - will cause a fast heart rate. Even if there is a delay of 15 minutes to 1 hour.)

"Peace will come to you very quickly when your lazy breathing and unconscious stomach tension problems are tackled and dealt with!"

PS. The other methods described should not be neglected.
