Re: Passed a huge worm!

After lots of research it seems to be an "Ascariasis",
common name the large round worm. Seems it's actually pretty common in humans depending on which site you visit. I had no symptoms and am still in shock at the size and grossness factor. I showed my three kids 13,12 and 8 and they all grossed out but we had a very good conversation about hygiene and this shows the results of poor hygiene. We are not nasty people. I am a middle class, single mom in USA, middle Tenessee, we have a few acres and animals. A creek we play in regular ( which may be the culprit as old timers use to route sewage to creeks) and I am in a semi rule area..my children are country kids and love to run barefoot and get dirty. I just don't know how contaminated human feces could be on our property? Unless the creek? (Why I question the foreign strawberries we purchased ton of on sale) Anyways, I have them so the children may have them. My youngest does suffer from sever constipation even pushing good foods so it's a possibility as she is the worst for cleanliness and hand washing. Bet they change that habit real fast!!! Again, any advice is appreciated. Thank you.
