When 1st,2nd,3rd and 4th stage strongyles molt there old shell(skin) will uncoil multiple times making it appear like a long string of white, black,blue or red threads. adult small strongyles are approx. 2 mm long but there old shells will uncoil to up to 50 times there body length. This would explain the coil fibers I see in my skin where they sometimes molt. My vet friend(expert on these bastards)also explained some type of fungus is associated with strongyles, theory in vet Science is they have a natural FUNGAL enemy. That would explain some of the other fibers we see FUNGI.
