Boron and sudden weight loss
I began using iodine, over 100mg a day, about 6-7 months ago. I originally started because around the time I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's, I suddenly (within a couple of months) gained 30+
pounds and couldn't get it off. I got my Hashimoto's under control due to a variety of holistic treatments (not doctors!) and was told right before I started
Iodine that my body "showed absolutely no sign of inflammation." Since starting iodine, however, I've gained another 10
pounds or so. I don't want to stop as the gains have been great (gains I wasn't even looking for), but I've kept searching for the missing link in what is keeping me fat. Enter Boron. About 6-9mg a day for THREE DAYS and I've already lost 6 pounds. No other changes, still eating the same healthy, organic, low-sugar, non-processed, relatively (but not scarily or weirdly) low-carb diet I've been eating for years. I read online about a study that demonstrated similar dramatic and sudden weight loss when rats were given Boron, but little else. I'm curious if anyone else has had similar experiences. Thank you!
