2) Sorry, you are incorrect. Every organism comes into contact with viruses/bacteria/ parasites in their environment all of the time without getting infected...that does NOT mean that the virus/bacteria/ parasite is not contagious . For example, just because you have lunch with your friend who has a cold doesn't mean you'll get it. Why? Many diseases/pathogens are opportunistic and will only succeed in causing disease in individuals with weakened immune systems.
