Re: Can MC Be Done Part Time?

Not so much a matter of blasphemy, but of defeating your own purpose. The Master-Cleanse is truly NOT a weight loss diet (though you will certainly lose weight fasting). It is a cleanse, and should be done with the intent to cleanse your body of old trash. Use it as a springboard for weight loss, with a cleansing/rebuilding diet AFTER the cleanse! This is how you will lose weight the right way, and KEEP it off. There is nothing more disappointing than putting time and effort into a fast and regaining all the weight you lost plus!

As far as drinking lemonade during the day, then having dinner... NOT a cleanse, and NOT a very nutritious weight loss plan. If you are going to cleanse, CLEANSE! There is no finer than the MC. If you are going for weight loss, choose a SENSIBLE weight loss diet (NOT a fad like Atkins) and make a commitment to it!

A wonderful pre-cleanse diet in preparation for a fast, which will also take the weight off:

For breakfast, have a big bowl of fruit, with natural yogurt (good culture, no sugar). Whiz it as a smoothie if you like!

For lunch, a big salad, your choice of dressing, NO bread, crackers etc. Just the salad.

For dinner, homemade vegetarian vegetable soup, as much as you like. Same soup you break the Master-Cleanse with. Yumm!

And as much fresh fruit/veg juices as you like, and PLENTY of water!

I did this for 30 days before my 59 day fast this summer, with wonderful results.

Add a little skinless chicken breast/fresh fish, and a small amount of whole grains and beans if you are eating this diet long term, and you will cleanse, heal AND lose weight!

Of course exercise plays a big part. Again, you have to make a commitment to yourself! Walk 40 minutes 3x a week, minimum, for best results, or whatever activity you will enjoy and stick with!

Sorry I don't have better news, but it's a LONG TERM commitment to better eating and good health you should be after, rather than quick weight loss. I'm sure I'm not telling you anything you don't know, but hope it helps anyhow!

I am over two years into removing all the old trash I packed into my colon over the years. I will turn 49 on Saturday, and want to go into my 50s clean, slim and HAPPY! I am well on my way, but... it ain't easy! (Feels so GOOD, though!)

Best to you,
Somer
