it's easy to blame the Iodine when you don't have an understanding of how it reacts and it's experimental.
it reacts to starch by turning purple, blue or black... had no clue.. it seemed harmless on the youtube videos.. but in my experience, it also burns the shit out of your mouth, throat and stomach after it's reacted. also, this sort of thing (reacted with starch or not) happens around the 2 week mark when some other people seem to start having the same reaction. is it detox? who knows.. i find that hard to believe. some people's bodies might hold on to the Iodine a little more than others. so a day or 2 break might be needed and maybe some bad reactions can be avoided if people pay more attention to what they're mixing it with, eat in their next meal after taking it and when their body is telling them to back off for a day or 2.
