Hi, I too suffered from swollen ankles even though I do a lot of exercise and drink plenty of fluids. After a long overdue visit to my GP about them therein lay the problem!!! It seems that this "drinking 2 litres a day" is a myth as in some cases the kidneys cannot flush all of that extra fluid out and it has nowhere to go other than pool around the calves and ankles. His advice to me was to drastically reduce the amount I was drinking and merely sip the water. I went away and did as I was instructed despite protest from non medical people that reckoned he was a quack and lo and behold it worked!!!! It wasn't easy to begin with, as I had a really dry throat and a headache but day by day my feet and ankles went down. Three months on I am 7lbs lighter with a flatter tummy and generally feel better as that ache in my legs due to the swelling is no longer there. I had spent an awful lot of money on supplements that were meant to treat this problem when all the time the answer was so simple. I haven't dited or done anything different other than not guzzle water. My advice to you is to give it a go, drastically reduce the amount of fluid you drink and see the results. Good luck
