EC: swab taken, positive for infection, antibiotics taken, no more gold crusts

Hello,

I have had ec for about 3-4 years. I reported it to my GP Jan 2012 and tried different creams for a year. A few months ago, there was a breakthrough. I tested positive for something from a swab.

i was then given three rounds of Antibiotics (erythmycin), the latter two being at double dosage. This stopped the golden thick crusts from forming. I finished my last course about 6 weeks ago.

Ive been using a steroid cream (eumovate) which has helped alot, but ive developed an allergy to other creams such as vaseline, aquaphor. Now i use butter.

The line of the lip is slowly going back to normal, (top and bottom) but its taking a while.

Has anyone gone through something similar to me and can advise me?

P.S i have a patch test in a couple months.
