Anasakis are the ones that try to burrow out your intestines... if they die in large amounts, they cause life threatening blockages. It makes you wonder how many "tumors" or colon cancer is actually a big wad of worms. And there are plenty of news stories about people having some condition that turned out to be worms... but they make it sound like its some sensational and odd story. When I went to the pharmacy earlier to fill my albenza, i was expecting them to have to order it like last time.. but they checked the computer and the store in the next town over "had a lot" in stock. They didn't a month ago when they checked.. so that tells me that its being prescribed often if they all of a sudden have a lot in stock. I live in nowheresville... average population for each town is like 2000 people.
