I just went to the hospital last week with tachycardia, heart rate of 190+. Turned out my T3 and T4 were "out of the ball park" so high they couldn't be measured, and TSH zero. No antibodies, thankfully. Now, I do not know for sure if it was because I had been taking Iodoral for 3 years or if it was other causes (mostly stress, bad sleep for 2 weeks). I won't condemn the iodine. But I won't rule it out, either. I have stopped taking it for the time being, hoping my thyroiditis will clear up on its own.
