I agree with this poster. I had four Amalgams when pregnant with both my children and both are incredibly healthy and sharp!
One alternative to chelation may be supplementing with chlorella. It's been shown to help with mercury. And recently I read about how it can help remove dioxin from breast milk and fetal cord blood. Dioxin is another toxin to worry about.
Along with your healthy diet, you may be fine. I think it's important to be aware and concerned about toxins. But I've also come to believe with a healthy Diet and exercise, your body is incredibly resilient and able to process and remove toxins. The ideal is not about being pure- we can never be that. But not to be overwhelmed beyond what our system can handle.
