The main thing I find is that problems start when people tell each other what to do. It will never work. Or they think that methods they like (be it Liver Flushing or Iodine or herbs etc.) are for everyone. And it's very hard to watch people promoting what we think can cause harm. But I guess we all harm ourselves to some degree since none of us are perfect.
For me I've gone from trying virtually everything I came across from homeopathy to naturopathy to acupuncture to Atkins diet to many different supplements and I've settled on eating lots of fruit + regular fasting+ occasional liver flushing+herbs+essential oils. If it doesn't feel right for me I don't do it.
Personally I don't need MDs or naturopaths to tell me what my nutrient levels are. I trust neither the tests nor the interpretation of the tests. I've come to a point of my life where I seek simplicity.
That's what makes the world interesting ... we're all different.
