Re: Can Triamcinolone Acetonide Be An Answer

Thanks for the thoughtfulness and care you put into your post, Ibinns. I too am sorry to hear you are hitting the two-decade mark. I recently passed 7 years. My recent dermatologist had me mixing Mupirocin and Betamethasone Propionate together for 4 days, continuing the steroid for three more days, and then going to twice weekly applicationg of the steroid. If you know me, I was very against the idea of this treatment but I have tried every other natural treatment I could think of and have to at least give steroids their day, in moderation of course.

I will keep everyone posted over the coming weeks but initial observation is that those creams made the overgrown skin white and damp just like other petroleum based products, however the rate of peeling has reduced and I've now passed a week without peeling the majority of the skin and it seems to be more intact than it was previously. I might mention the internal inflammation and Triamcinolone to the derm when I see her on Valentine's Day (can't top that for a hot date!).

Peace,
C.S.
