Where Lies The Quackery In The Use Of Ozonated Olive Oil?

Lately, over the last few years, I’ve noticed an awakening of the American Public to the use of Ozonated Olive Oil.

Being of a family which has always had this in its medicinal arsenal, I initially was bemused when coming across those extolling its virtues, as though they had re-discovered sulfa-drugs. The few others who would agree with them, acknowledging they too knew of the substance, I simply assumed to be like myself. However, I did note our numbers were few!
I remember coming to live on my own, realizing I couldn’t buy it at the local pharmacy and having to rely upon sources my family had known for years.
Over the course of making inquiries at major stores, several who overheard me, brought out their anecdotes, espousing the value of the substance. I wasn’t looking at health blogs then, for I had never thought to seek them out.

But, once found, I was stunned at the range of applications people claimed for the ointment; everything from curing cancer to removing plaque from teeth!
Reeling, from reading techniques and applications which, in light of our family’s utilization, begged credulity, I began asking those who I knew had used it for years, what they thought of these claims.
In doing so, I learned of a few other techniques. But, none that were too far from the topical applications I’ve personally seen, heard and discussed with those I consider knowledgeable of the ointment’s use. I will admit I did come across a few internal applications, of which I’d not heard.
Yet, one man’s well traveled road can be a path of revelation, for another. I’m here to ask what is considered quackery amongst those of you who have considered fully Ozonated Olive Oil? Where does the mythology start, in your eyes?
I’m open for intelligent discussions and reasonably presented anecdotes.
