Re: copper toxicity or low copper?

Depends who you talk to. Dr. Wilson beleives everyone is copper toxic while others do not make that claim. According to your testing zinc is relative high to copper so there is no copper toxicity. Copper plays a key role in immune health and is mobilized to help the production of immune cells. Oftentimes the reason for adrenal fatigue is due to immune activation of the adrenal axis to mobilize a defense against pathogens so removing copper makes no sense.

Copper toxicity is always a possibility but if there was then the value would show high in the hair. I knew someone who was having issues and the report showed high levels of copper which related to her symptomology. It was the only time I have seen high levels on a hair test.

Copper is a necessary element and is critical in a number of things in the body. There is a more accurate way of determining copper stores that can be done in the blood. The ratio of sodium to potassium would indicate adrenal stress, what is your practitioner doing to resolve this issue?

I would like to see the journal article or reference to show that low copper in the hair is indicative to copper toxicity.
