Re: Friedreich's Ataxia and Water fast?

Hi Fialia,

First of all my sympathies to you that you have very rare genetic disease. Does your parents have this disease or both have defective gene FXN?

Friedrich's Ataxia (FA) happens when you inherit two copies of defective FXN gene from both of your parents. Currently a lot of research is going on, but no cure has been found. You may have chosen a path to fixing this problem by fasting.

Basically what this condition does is disrupts the normal production of Frataxin. Frataxin is found in each cell in the Mitochondria. Without Frataxin the cells do not effectively produce energy which leads to build up toxins and affects all muscles and nervous system.

I think fasting can cure this because fasting will be able to help each cell to clean up the toxic build up. In short fasts you may not see the benefits so if you can fast for 30 days, then re-feed and again fast for 30 days may help you. The other part is diet, which has to be totally plant based diet till you are recovered.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, SINCE THIS IS A VERY RARE DISEASE YOU MAY WANT TO FAST UNDER SUPERVISION OF A KNOWN FASTING EXPERT OR ND.

If you do not mind my asking where do you live? If you check ChrisB1's messages you may find good practitioners in your area.

Good luck.

Keep posting here about your journey.

Peace.
