Am I regurgitating lymph?
Hello all,
I hope someone can answer me! For the last month, I've been regurgitating a clean, tasteless fluid whilst meditating. Has anyone experienced this or knows what is going on?
At first, I was just burping, as though 'wind' was being expelled from my organs (a concept of TCM). I could physically feel my insides shifting about, kinda when one gets stomach rumbling, or gas in digestion. Then I would feel a need to burp, often several times.
But now, I get this fluid all the time when I meditate. I don't where the fluid is coming from. Doesn't seem like the stomach because it's neutral tasting and always clear even after I drink hot chocolate. Sometimes, I get more than 1 cup of fluids in my mouth, so I also don't think it's saliva, though it feels like it's oozing out of my mouth cells sometines! It's really crazy.
Why I think it could be lymph is that I feel a sensation just below my sternum, either has to be my stomach or spleen, right? Not pain, just like there's something going on.
Then a few day ago, for the first time, I regurgitated a thicker mucus-like fluid, like an egg white. My stomach/spleen felt emptier after this.
Also, for the last 3 months, I've been taking grapefruit seed extract, could this have something to do with it?
I don't know if this sounds strange, I'm really puzzled. Is this a healing crisis (I am doing a lot of inner work), and the fluids are carrying out my acids/old energy? I also notice that I'm less thirsty than I use to be, so could my inner fluids be balancing? I have water retention in my abdomen. I'm just really curious if this is something common or dangerous.
Would love to hear from anyone. Thanks for reading : )
