Doctor willing to give under-corrected prescription - NYC or nearby

I'm interested in obtaining a much reduced eyeglass prescription. This is something advised in the field of eye exercises; to free one's eyes up for eye exercises (abandoning glasses altogether is ideal). Does anybody know of a doctor who would be willing to do this for me? I live on Long Island, close to NYC -- any recommendations as close to that as possible would be appreciated. Tweet
