euthanasia and has been the "standard of care" in nursing facilities for a very long time. Aside from Hospice ( which is clear on the families, and all involved,) nursing homes are the only organization allowed to "mercy kill" by starvation, depression of heart rate and breathing by over medicating with morphine, neglect.... The aged would be healthier and happier in a little apt. with a non credentialed caregiver that the family carefully chooses. It would be much more cost efficient as well. Putting someone in a nursing home is often the last and cruelest experience a person undergoes on this side of the veil.
