Cleansing face with oil (no soap, just a towel soaked in warm water)
my curezone conversation withMira
A while back, someone on here was asking what to do about acne.
Here's a suggestion, have you tried putting extra virgin olive oil on your face and after that, a facecloth soaked in hot water? There's more to it; you can find the info at this link.
hi Mira, what a coincidence... my friend and I have been using olive oil (and castor oil) the same way-- I dont have severe acne though.. just blackheads and big pores... we used 25% castor oil and 75% olive oil-- method is very similar...worked wonders.. I have done this 2x already-- the last 2 saturdays..and took pictures the next morning.. i probably should do this everyday and make it part of my 40 day fast... will post before and after pictures too.. :)
It's amazing how life works like that and we were thinking the same thing, thousands of miles away from each other. I tried the olive oil one night and my face felt so great. The idea is that like absorbs like and that the olive oil will absorb the excess oils from our pores. I'd like to add it to my daily routine.
Castor oil is heavier so I use it mostly on my feet with some essential oils blended in.
I love how you take pictures, I'll look forward to seeing them :)
My updates today (Day 19 of my OJ fast and oil cleansing for the face):
Aside from OJ fasting, I also do oil cleansing for my face with castor oil and olive oil. Notice that the pores on my cheeks and my laugh line is less noticeable now. Overall my skin also looks clearer. Last Sunday I also tried lymph drainage massage as part of my oil cleansing.
I did the oil cleansing every other day at night before bed. I dont use soap on my face. Every other day ( the day after oil cleanse), I scrub my face gently with the orange pulp, then put a tiny bit of olive oil as moisturiser before I go to work. I enjoy the smoothness and softness of my facial skin throughout the day.
Now I know how to cleanse my face without soap and harsh chemicals.. saves water too!!
